LET ME ROLL IT
Single | 1998
Big Sugar's contribution to the compilation album "Hempiliation 2". Gordie Johnson chose Paul McCartney's "Let Me Roll It" because it too was controversial. "The song was banned by the BBC when it was released. " he explains. "McCartney had just been busted for possession of marijuana. It actually has nothing to do with smoking dope, but it illuminates the knee-jerk panic reaction that people had. Obviously they never even listened to the lyrics!"
