Big Sugar adds a little spice - The Province

Canadian band returns to roots and to the concert circuit

Johnson isn't looking to fit into any category with Big Sugar but the one that the band built up over the years; it's own. The blues, reggae, soul and funk all blended together in a distinctly only-from-Toronto sound has held the band in good stead over the years and it remains true to its roots. For this tour, the band is bringing reggae singer Willi Williams on tour to perform his classic hits with the band backing him. In nearly every place it plays, extra nights have been added.
